What is powered suit Nue ver. ?

This product is a three-dimensional version of [Studio Nue].

Studio Nue Inc. is a planning and production studio based in Shimoshigamii, Nerima-ku, Tokyo, Japan, mainly focusing on science fiction works.

It was designed by Naoyuki Katoh, one of the founders of Studio Nue Inc.

At first, he thought it would be a shame that the back cover of Nue's parent company, SF Central Art's doujinshi, Crystal, was always white, so he thought of making up an ad for a fictional SF magazine.

He thought of the powered suit commentary in STARSHIP TROOPERS as a fictional advertisement for it.

It was then that the "Nue" version of the powered suit was designed for the first time.

Later, he heard that a new book from Hayakawa Shobo, "Space Warriors," was going to be published in the paperback, so he asked to draw it for him. Moreover, I thought that there was room for improvement in the design, and requested the refinement to Kazutaka Miyatake who belonged to "Nue" as well.

The designer Naoyuki Kato re-examined the structure of the shoulder part, balance, etc. to assemble the previous plastic model many times. The 2019 edition of Mobile Infantry reflects this, and is finished in such a way.
