It comes with etched parts in the standard “warship color” specification of the Imperial Japanese Navy, which was never actually painted! The product is based on the shape motif at the time of completion in November 1944, and was sculpted with a completely new design and mold in 2017. The body parts are pre-colored parts that imitate the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal colors (warship colors). The ship's bottom and body parts are divided at the waterline, making it possible to build both an ocean-going model and a full hull model. The Yamato and Musashi are sister ships in real life, but in order to express the differences between the two ships, exclusive parts are used instead of shared parts. The planned aircraft are included. The ship's body is divided into left and right sections, and the layout around the bow bellmouth is reproduced with correct design. The porthole opening canvas and some other parts are represented by sealing material with excellent followability. The porthole windows on the porthole side are reproduced with delicate engravings of different shapes of closed/unclosed portholes. The bottom parts reproduce the bulge shape different from that of the Yamato. The parts are pre-colored in red (bottom color) and do not require painting. Can be finished as an offshore model/full-hull model by selecting the attachment of this part. The rudder comes in two types: a round rudder of the same shape as the Yamato, which has been conventionally described, and a round rudder of the same type as the aircraft carrier Oho, which has been described in recent years. The flight deck consists of two pieces. The concrete deck and the outer edge are divided into two parts, which is optimal for painting. The concrete deck is molded in a light gray color, lighter than the warship's color. The bridge is an integral part using a slide mold. All four sides are realistically sculpted with detailed carvings. The shape of the chimney and the structure around the rear short boat deck have been sculpted based on recent data and research. Strip patterns on the high-angle gun turrets and monkey rattles on the hangar walls, which tend to be monotonous, are sculpted in high-density with detailed sculptures. The collapsible radio antenna prop is retractable and can be used to recreate the ship's departure. Four types of shipboard aircraft are included: “Shiden Kai”, “Ryusei”, “Saiun” and “Sakurabana”. 　The Shiden Kai is reproduced in two colors: a common dark green color and an orange color that mimics the Shiden Kai II that was tested. 　The legs of the Ryusei, Saiun, and Shiden Kai are molded in one piece, and separate parts for the finely sculpted legs are also provided. The stickers included are specially designed for the concrete flight deck, which is different from conventional products. Included stickers include canvas covering on the port side, linoleum on the bridge floor, and white lines on the flight deck. They allow for color expression without painting. Decals are included separately from the stickers for painting, and include the white lines on the flight deck and the Hinomaru symbols for the aircraft. Bonus parts include adhesive-type “horizontal binoculars” and “ammunition box for machine gun” for detailed finishing. Etching parts are included for delicate ship's outfitting that cannot be expressed by injection parts. Etching parts include handrail, ladder, rattar, No.13 electric search, wind shield fence, elevator, crane, chimney cap, airplane propeller, etc. No painting required: Each part is colored with a molded color, and some parts are colored with stickers to express the coloring.
