Sci-fi/Animation Character (Completed, Fixed Pose) Takashi Kinoshita has reviewed the B-type suit and sculpted a completely new figure! Deeply simple design reproduced in a realistic manner. The Character Classics series delivers finished painted figures that are as close to masterpieces as possible, using hand-made resin replicas and painting by a professional finisher. With its latest specification, the "B-type" will be re-released following the "Ultraman (C-type)". The A-type mask, which had a latex skin over an FRP backing, has been replaced with a fully FRP molded mask, and the body modeling has also been reviewed in detail, resulting in the new B-type. The B-type suit is the representative suit used most frequently in the 39 episodes of "Ultraman," from episode 14 to episode 29. Takashi Kinoshita, who was also proud of the Ultraman (B-type) released in 2017 by Character Classics, has once again reviewed the balance of the entire body and sculpted a completely new figure. Along with a more dignified standing posture with arms slightly forward and chest outstretched, the smooth beauty of the face has been expressed through delicate adjustments, such as the balance that gives the mask a more rounded, three-dimensional appearance compared to Character Classics' previous B-type figure. In addition, the proportions of the actual figure, which show a bump from the chest to the waist due to the compensator placed under the suit and a unique bulge in the abdomen due to the excess of the suit, are also aimed to create an atmosphere as a characteristic of the B-type, while the figure is sculpted with a well-defined body line considering its beauty as a hero. If you place the figure side by side with the Character Classics "Ultraman (A-type)" currently on sale, you can compare the differences in the modeling and feel the evolution of the suit for filming through repeated trial-and-error in the field. The figure's anatomical characteristics of the filming suit have been thoroughly verified, and appropriate arrangements have been made to make the 35cm-tall figure look "exactly as it was in the film. Takashi Kinoshita's unique sense of "realistic" modeling creates an ideal hero image that goes beyond mere realism. The detailed specifications also reflect the attention to detail that has been paid to the hero image. In the filming of the movie, the boots are covered with surgical gloves that were cut into rings to remove the border, but we dared to reproduce the style of the boots seen in the stills immediately after the suit was completed, emphasizing the flow of the outline of the legs. The eyes and color timer, whose shape is reproduced with clear parts, emit light thanks to the built-in electric light gimmick. The yellowish color of the eyes, caused by the use of a 6V6W nutmeg bulb for the front light of the bicycle, and the vivid blue of the color timer are both reproduced by LEDs that have been carefully selected to the best of their hue. The mask with built-in battery and switch can be easily and steadily attached and removed with a magnet. Comments from the sculptor The B-type was completely rebuilt from the ground up with a new balance of the entire body. Compared to the previous modeling, the length and depth of the mask's chin have been revised to give it a more rounded, three-dimensional appearance when viewed from below. Although the body is more modest than the C-type, we aimed to create the atmosphere characteristic of the B-type, such as the shoulders, chest, and sagging abdomen. In the movie, the ankles seem to be wearing a pair of surgical gloves with the wrists cut into rings to remove the border of the shoes, but since this would disrupt the flow of the outline of the legs, we dared to use the steel specifications immediately after the completion of the suit. The eyes and color timer can be made to emit light by LED.
