Plastic Aircraft Model Assembly Kit Reproduce the shining aircraft in the early stage of introduction. This plastic model assembly kit reproduces the T-1, a training plane operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in the 1960s in 1/72 scale. About the actual aircraft:. The T-1 training plane was produced from 1958 and 66 aircraft were produced by 1963 and deployed in the Air Self-Defense Force. After World War II, many of the 33,000 jet pilots were trained on this masterpiece aircraft, which is now etched in history as the aircraft that contributed to Japan's postwar air defense. It was the first domestically produced jet trainer aircraft after the war and was a major point of challenge to the latest technology of the time, including the adoption of a fuselage design with a retractable wing design. The T-1A imported and installed the Orfus engine from Bristol Siddeley in England, and the prototype, the T1F2, successfully completed its first flight on January 19, 1958. In 1959, the prototype equipped with the Olfusse engine was formalized as the T-1A, and mass production was decided upon. The first production aircraft was delivered in September 1960, and the T-1A was deployed mainly to the 13th Flying Instruction Group, where it was used to train new pilots. About the Model This 1/72 scale plastic model kit reproduces the T-1A, a domestically produced jet trainer aircraft operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The distinctive fuselage shape and design, including the cockpit with retracted wings and a tandem layout double-seat configuration, are reproduced with a finished length of approximately 168mm. In addition to the panel lines, details such as the legs and cockpit interior are also modeled in detail. You can assemble this indispensable aircraft in the history of Japanese aviation with your own hands. This kit reproduces the T-1A as it was when it was first introduced, completely unpainted and in natural metal. The kit features three types of markings, two from the 13th Flying Training Wing (Ashiya Air Base) around 1963 and one from the Experimental Air Force (Gifu Air Base) No. 827 in 1965, all with decals made by Cartograf. The natural metal finish of this kit is eye-catching. Reproduce the jet trainer aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, T-1A in 1/72 scale. Finished overall length is approximately 168mm. Accurately modeled fuselage shape with retractable wings.
