We are proud to present the reborn, more precise 1/700 Warship (Full Hull Model) Series. The “Chokai” was commissioned as the fourth ship of the Takao-class heavy cruisers. She fought in the Southern Campaign at the outbreak of war and the First Battle of the Solomon Islands, but was severely damaged by U.S. carrier-based aircraft during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944 and was scuttled. This kit is a 1/700 scale plastic model of the “Chokai” as it appeared in 1942. With a parts layout that captures the essentials, it is simple to assemble and allows for an accurate reproduction.
