Consequently, it adopted small anti-submarine whaling ships as wartime emergency vessels. Orders were placed starting in 1939, and between 1940 and 1944, 140 were built in the UK and 123 in Canada. They achieved significant success, including the sinking of more than 40 submarines. This kit is a standalone version of the kit included with the “Royal Navy Heavy Cruiser Exeter: Atlantic Convoy Escort Operations” set released in 2018.
