Aoshima's Water Line has been renewed with more precision! A 1/700 scale plastic model kit of the "Takao", the name ship of the Takao class heavy cruisers, still popular due to its majestic appearance. In addition to the characteristic bridge of the Takao class, the kit features an electric search device and anti-aircraft machine gun, which were added as part of the modernization and refit of the ship, making the late World War II version of the Takao simple and easy to assemble and accurately reproduce. Various outfits such as anti-aircraft guns, machine guns and aircraft catapults have been newly designed and added. The use of a slide mold allows for precise and accurate molding! ? Mainly armed with destroyer main guns, machine guns, etc., shipboard aircraft and various outfits have also been updated! New outfitting parts renewed with new molds! The Japanese Navy decided to compensate for this disadvantage with other types of ships, and focused on the A-class cruiser, which could carry an 8-inch caliber gun, the largest of all auxiliary ships, and which had no particular limitation on the amount of ships it could own. In accordance with this policy, four Myoko class cruisers were built, each with a displacement of 10,000 tons, 10 20cm (7.9-inch) guns, and eight torpedo tubes, which was just short of the treaty limit. However, since the same class of U.S. and British A-class cruisers were equipped with 8-inch (20.3-centimeter) guns as stipulated by the treaty, the next class of cruisers was converted to 8-inch guns to improve the striking power of the guns and to be equipped with swivel torpedo tubes to enhance offensive power. This is the Takao class cruiser. *The image shown is a prototype. *Series No. will continue after renewal. We recommend you to confirm the contents when you reserve or purchase. [Plastic model].
