Die-cast parts are used for the joints and armor, faithfully recreating its unique proportions with a sense of solidity. From the engravings on the gleaming golden armor to the ceremonial long streamer attached to the shoulders, METAL BUILD’s original design elements create a brand-new silhouette for Ikaruga. From *Knights & Magic*, “Ikaruga,” the strongest Phantom Knight in the series, finally joins the METAL BUILD lineup! The exterior design, reimagined by Hideki Tenjin, was conceived around the concept of “a robot existing in a fantasy world,” with each part’s shape carefully designed to serve both structural and functional purposes. A link mechanism is incorporated into the knee joints, ensuring that the complex outer armor does not hinder movement when the legs are bent. This allows the figure to assume a kneeling pose. The parts modeled after military chess pieces can be used as a chair-shaped base by swapping out the top section. You can display the figure in a seated position inspired by the illustration from the original *Knights & Magic* novel when Ikaruga first appeared. The golden armor plating across the unit features engravings based on an original METAL BUILD design. The front and rear skirts are made of wire-reinforced PVC sheet material, allowing for flexible, flowing poses. A flag featuring an original METAL BUILD design can be attached to the shoulders. Designed as ceremonial decoration, it is based on the emblem of the “Silver Phoenix Knights.” Die-cast alloy parts?the hallmark of METAL BUILD. These are used in the joints, the undersides of the tile-like armor, the scale-like armor, and the blade fins on the arms. The primary weapon, the “Gun-Sword,” can be transformed between gun and sword modes. A total of four are included. The four sub-arms on the back, known as the “Hand of the Moon,” which are arguably Ikaruga’s most distinctive feature, allow for the equipping of the “Gun-Sword” and the recreation of wrist ejection.
