Fine Molds 1/72 JASDF F-2B Fighter Jet (w/ Pilot)

The F-2B, developed as a two-seat variant of the F-2A, features a tandem seating arrangement allowing an instructor pilot to accompany the student. It plays an indispensable role in training the next generation of pilots, conducting aircraft conversion training and advanced combat maneuvering training. While its airframe design results in a slightly reduced fuel capacity, its basic performance is nearly equivalent to the F-2A, boasting high capabilities. The 21st Squadron at the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's Matsushima Air Base operates numerous F-2Bs, utilizing them for training young pilots. Many F-2Bs were damaged during the Great East Japan Earthquake, but the majority were repaired and continue flying on the front lines today. Born from technical prowess and an unyielding determination to restore them, they represent the JASDF's “wings of hope.” This kit includes two pilot figures wearing JASDF standard helmets, in addition to the main aircraft body, further enhancing the realism of your display.
