Plastic model [Scale] 1/72 When Iraq invaded Kuwait in August 1990, the U.S. Navy responded immediately with a carrier task force and deployed to the Persian Gulf and Red Sea. F-14 fighters were active in escorting attack aircraft in addition to their main mission of fleet air defense, but Iraqi aircraft, which had suffered severely from Iranian Air Force F-14s during the Iran-Iraq War, fled without taking hostile action when they heard radar signals emitted by US Navy F-14s, and US Navy F-14s did not achieve significant results in the Gulf War.
