Plastic model [Scale] 1/72 The U.S. Air Force modified and equipped 71 of the 825 F-4Ds produced with the RORAN-D antenna (AN/ARN-92) and used them as "pathfinders" to guide fighter-bomber squadrons while receiving signals from tactical navigation signal stations on the ground. These aircraft were also painted black on the underside of the fuselage as night fighter-bombers (night attackers), and were used in the linebacker operations at the end of the Vietnam War. The RORAND-D antenna is known as a "towel hanger" among military aircraft fans at home and abroad. The kit precisely reproduces the RORAND-D antenna with plastic parts.
