Plastic model [Scale] 1/72 The 8th Tactical Combat Wing (a.k.a. "Wolfpack") deploys to Ubon Air Base in Thailand, the USAF's frontline base in Vietnam, from December 1965 in the early stages of the Vietnam War. On January 2, 1967, the "Operation Bolo" was deployed to eliminate the threat of MiG fighters in the so-called "Northern Bombing" and shot down seven new MiG-21 fighters in one day, which had just been paid by the Soviet Union since the previous fall. F-4Cs under the "Wolfpack" shot down a total of 22 MiG fighters before being converted to the D type. The included decals reproduce three aircraft, including one flown by Colonel Olds, Commander of the Wing.
