Plastic Aircraft Model Assembly Kit The F-2B belonging to the Flight Development Experimental Wing deployed at the Kakamigahara Air Base in Gifu Prefecture is a prototype of the F-2B, which, like the F-2A, was a prototype in the initial stages of development, and the 101 is the third prototype and the first of the double-seat type. It was used to evaluate flight characteristics, flutter/spin, communications/navigation/identification, and mission characteristics, and was painted in red and blue on a white base to enhance visibility. The 101 is also characterized by the installation of a spin recovery parachute (commonly known as a spin chute) in the tail section of the fuselage for use during spin characteristic tests. The red/blue painted parts of the fuselage are reproduced with decals, with the exception of some parts, which are molded in white.
