The F-4G, converted from the F-4E to serve as a Wild Weasel V, was equipped with a wide array of electronic warfare systems within its spacious airframe. Major visual changes include the AN/APR-38/47RHAW fairing atop the vertical stabilizer, additional antennas on the upper fuselage, and a modified fairing shape resulting from the removal of the nose-mounted cannon to accommodate new equipment. Another distinctive feature is the structural reinforcement added to the wing spars on the underside of the fuselage. This kit reproduces these features using newly molded parts, and the instrument panel specific to the G model has also been newly sculpted. The camouflage applied to F-4s introduced in the late 1970s was the Vietnam-era “SEA” camouflage. The kit includes markings for aircraft 69-7208 of the 563rd Test Flight Squadron (563TFS), which features many warning labels written in white?a characteristic unique to post-Vietnam War aircraft. Furthermore, as the 1980s began, the camouflage changed to a green-based pattern known as “European I,” designed with combat in Europe in mind. The kit also includes the squadron’s aircraft 69-0253, which features shark teeth markings. Series Name 1/72 Scale Jet Aircraft (Limited Edition)
