The design of the Tachibana was started in July 1944 as Japan's first jet fighter, based on the technical data of the Me 262 jet fighter, which was already in practical use by the German Luftwaffe at that time. The first flight of the first aircraft was on August 7, 1945, due to repeated design changes caused by the lack of materials and changes in the engine to be installed. Japan's first jet flight was a success, but the aircraft failed to take off and ascend in a test four days later on what was supposed to be its second flight. The aircraft was damaged and the war ended as it did. ●The jet plane developed at the end of the war, the Tachibana, was reproduced as the first in a new series of products to revamp the part numbers.
