Tornado with special markings on the fuselage, now in 1/144 scale! About the actual aircraft: The Tornado was a multi-purpose attack aircraft jointly developed by the United Kingdom, West Germany, and Italy. Its first flight was in 1974, and its deployment and operation began in 1979. The attack type IDS, whose main mission was low-altitude precision attack, and the air defense fighter type ADV, which was derived from the IDS, were developed, and were deployed in various countries from the 1980s. The Royal Air Force operated the Tornado IDS under the name of Tornado GR.1. It has variable wings and is equipped with two Turbo Union RB199-34R Mk103 engines. It demonstrated high short takeoff performance. The front seat is occupied by the pilot and the rear seat by the navigator. Since its first flight in 1974, the Tornado has been attracting a lot of attention with special painted aircraft at events and milestones in its history. About the model: This 1/144 scale plastic model assembly kit reproduces the Panavia Tornado, a multi-purpose attack aircraft jointly developed by three European countries. Parts are made by EF Toys for easy assembly and include parts for two aircraft. The kit is modeled after the Tornado's IDS, GR.1. Finished overall length is 11.6cm. The fuselage shape and panel lines are realistically reproduced. Of course, the main wings of the variable wings, which is a feature of the Tornado, are movable even after completion. You can enjoy the different facial expressions. The cockpit is also realistically reproduced, and two crew figures are included. Markings are provided for two types of specially painted aircraft. One is the aircraft of the German Luftwaffe's 31st Fighter Bombardment Wing, produced in 2001 to commemorate its 125,000 total flight hours, and the other is the commemorative painted aircraft produced in 1990 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Air Force's 16th Squadron. The black fuselage and special markings make the form of this kit even more eye-catching. The kit is 1/144 scale and the finished length is approximately 116mm to reproduce the Tornado. Easy to assemble parts made by EFTOYS for two aircraft. Variable wings are movable even after completion. Markings reproduce specially painted aircraft of the German Luftwaffe and the Royal Air Force. Decals are made by Cartograf Size when completed Approx. 116mm in length Release date, price, product name, etc. are subject to change without notice.
