This plastic model assembly kit reproduces the F-100D, which appeared in 1956 as a fighter-bomber type of the F-100 Super Sabre, the world's first practical supersonic fighter. The scale is 1/144 and the finished length is approx. 100mm and width is approx. 80mm. Parts are made by EF Toys for easy assembly and set for two planes. The slim fuselage with air intakes in the nose and the retracted wings are accurately modeled down to the panel lines. Parts such as the refueling probe and long pitot tube are also delicately represented. The reproduction of the legs and other parts also creates a mechanical finish. Two types of markings are provided: one for Major Don Kilgus of the 416th Tactical Combat Squadron in 1965, and the other for the 90th Tactical Combat Squadron in 1968. Major Kilgus' plane is known as the first plane to shoot down a MIG in the air during the Vietnam War. It will be a pleasure to build them all. [Main Features.] Reproduction of the F-100D Super Sabre in 1/144 scale. Finished length is approximately 100mm, width is approximately 80mm Parts are made by Eftoys, easy to assemble Parts for two aircraft are included.
