Easily assemble and recreate the adorable stylized Hiei. This product is based on the Hiei of the 3rd Squadron, which participated in the Third Battle of Solomon Islands in 1942. Special parts recreate the difference between the Kirishima's main guns, whose side armor plates were curved, and the Hiei's main guns, which used flat plates. It recreates the appearance around the final period, featuring anti-aircraft machine guns mounted below the bridge. The difference in searchlight tower placement is also realistically reproduced. The hull bottom is molded in hull bottom color, while the upper hull is in warship gray. The deck sections use highly conforming realistic decals, allowing the intricate moldings to be perfectly reproduced even without painting. The decals include a wooden deck with a complex woodgrain pattern, the warship flag, bridge windows, searchlight lens surfaces, and waterproof covers. A dedicated name decal for the Hiei is included.
