The Adorably Stylized “Chibimaru Aircraft Battleship Yamashiro” Is Back in Reissue! □ The Chibimaru Fleet series features stylized exteriors, creating cute, palm-sized models you’ll want to collect. □ The snap-fit design requires no glue, and thanks to multi-color molding and realistic decals, no painting is needed. □ The design is split between the hull and the keel, allowing you to display it as either an above-water or full-hull version. The product realistically recreates the ship’s unique silhouette?with some main guns removed from the stern, similar to the Ise and Hy?ga?while maintaining a stylized design. Compared to the Fus?, it retains the characteristic upright shape of the base at the rear of the bridge, while featuring a flight deck that covers the area near the former No. 5 and No. 6 gun turrets. Unlike the standard Chibimaru Fleet Battleship Yamashiro, this model’s hull parts allow for the attachment of the flight deck. Thanks to multi-color molding and high-adhesion realistic decals, the model looks great even unpainted. The decals include a wooden deck with a complex woodgrain pattern, the naval ensign, bridge windows, radar, searchlight lenses, and the chrysanthemum crest. A name decal exclusive to Yamashiro is included. Had the ship been completed as planned as an aircraft battleship, it would have been equipped with the latest carrier-based aircraft of the time; accordingly, a Zuiun is included. You can enjoy the model even more by using the separately sold dedicated display stand.
