Chibimaru Nagato: A Special Edition Featuring Realistic Effect Parts Is Back in Production! The Chibimaru Fleet is a model series that features stylized versions of numerous famous ships built by the Imperial Japanese Navy and active during the Pacific War, designed to be “easy to build, collect, and display.” The snap-fit assembly style requires no glue, and thanks to decals and multi-colored molded parts, painting is not necessary. This product is designed with parts that allow you to recreate the ship as it appeared at sea. In addition to the standard Nagato parts, the set includes original effect parts exclusive to this special edition. The product is modeled after the ship’s appearance during Operation Sh?-1 (the Battle of Leyte Gulf). A Type 21 radar is mounted atop the bridge, and triple-mounted machine guns are lined up on the main gun turret covers. The window layout and shape differences at the front of the bridge?a famous distinguishing feature from her sister ship, the Mutsu?are reproduced using dedicated parts. Exclusive to the Nagato, the set includes the No. 13 radar, a vertical radar unit located near the aft lookout post. Realistic decals with excellent adhesion are included. The decals feature the Chrysanthemum Crest, funnels, radar units, bridge windows, and the Hinomaru flags on the aircraft. [Effect Parts] Includes a display stand molded in a blue color evoking the ocean. Includes bow and stern waves molded in a clear blue color. Includes gunfire effects molded in a clear orange color. The gunfire effects are designed to be attached with adhesive. *The ship’s hull bottom and propeller parts are not included. *Information current as of September 2026. Please note that colors may appear different from the actual product due to monitor settings or image resolution. (From the Fujimi Models website)
