In response to your enthusiastic requests for its return, the 1/72 A-4 Skyhawk is finally here! Developed in the 1950s as a carrier-based attack aircraft for the U.S. Navy, the A-4 Skyhawk was a masterpiece that defined an era with its outstanding performance. Once one of the most popular series in Fujimi’s aircraft kit lineup, the A-4 Skyhawk is making a comeback in response to your requests! The A-4 Skyhawk family has spawned numerous variants, some of which are still in service today. This release features the A-4C, which holds the record for the highest production numbers in the series. While the A-4 Skyhawk has left many memorable stories in aviation history, this kit is inspired by the tale of an A-4C that shot down a MiG-17 fighter during the Vietnam War. □ Realistically recreates the Skyhawk’s lightweight and compact design. The Zuni rocket launcher, used in dogfights against the MiG-17, is included as a separate part. □ Decals are provided for two aircraft from the U.S. Navy’s 76th Attack Squadron during the Vietnam War. You can choose to build either the aircraft that shot down the MiG-17 or the one that incorporated that combat achievement into its markings. *Information current as of October 2026.
