Plastic model kit
[Scale] 1/700
"Akagi", which was laid down as a battle cruiser in 1918, was converted into an aircraft carrier. She made a major renovation in 1945 from a ship with a three-stage flight deck and a curved chimney on the starboard side, which allows aircraft to arrive and depart at the same time, and made it a full-scale flight deck. The first half of the flight deck has a 0.5 degree downhill slope to help the carrier-based aircraft start, and the second half has a 1.5 degree uphill slope to prevent the landing. Reproduce the shape at the end of this all deck period.
Due to the balance with the starboard chimney, the bridge installed on the port side and the side of the hull that has become complicated due to many minor renovations are characteristic.
In the early days of the Pacific War, she participated in the Pearl Harbor operation as the flagship of the Nagumo Mobile Task Force, played an active part in the Rabaul attack, the Port Darwin attack and the battle, and the Battle of Midway in 1945, and sank in the Battle of Midway in 1945.
The kit is designed by the same team as the well-established "Special Series 1/700 Kongo", and compared to existing products that use old molds, the kit created by introducing the latest technology is finer in each part. The difference is clear.
