The aircraft cruiser "Mogami", which was to have a vast air working space at the rear of the ship, is now available with the addition of new parts! The product is based on the appearance of the first ship of the Mogami class "Mogami" in 1943, when it was converted to an aircraft cruiser. It is characterized by the removal of the No. 4.5 main gun, the construction of a new aircraft working deck, the installation of an electric detector No. 21, and the enlargement of the air defense command post and the machine gun position in front of the bridge. New mold is used to unify the differences in the reproduction of equipment, etc., depending on the time of product release, part is also divided to take into account the painting work. [CC] No. 21 electric probe is expressed with more delicate sculpture than the conventional attached parts, such as the base of the insulator for fixing the element on the front side. [HH] 12.7cm anti-aircraft gun A1 Kai-1 is subdivided into 6 parts, and the molding resolution has been increased from the existing 2 parts. The 9-meter cutter is made of 2 parts in consideration of painting, and the trestle is prepared as a separate part, which can be selected from the deck integrated mold. [NN] The 11-meter inner gunboat has separate parts for the canvas and wheelhouse/mechanical room canopy for painting. Each part is painted and assembled and glued afterwards. The 12-meter launch can be rendered without canvas. The ship's trestle is molded with uneven shapes and light holes for a more precise molding. New parts are provided for the chrysanthemum emblem on the bow and the port light on the side of the bridge. Binocular telescope parts are added to the air defense command post and the compass bridge. Decals for the aft ship's name (in warship color) and the white line on the mast have been added. The Type 96 25mm machine gun is now a standard two-part part that reduces painting/separation work. Ship's body The ship's hull is a one-piece structure with both sides molded as a single piece, allowing for more stable assembly compared to the left-right laminated type. The bulge on the port side is a separate part. The porthole windows, which have been reduced due to unsinkability measures since the beginning of the war, have been made as a special part for air cruisers. Upper deck The upper deck is a single piece, with detailed engravings such as the linoleum deck hold and the non-slip steel deck. The air vents and reels are integrated with the deck, and the split pattern of non-slip parts under the aviation work deck is delicately sculpted. Each deck The ammunition box for the machine gun, the installation part of the single machine gun, the hose reel, etc. are reproduced in various forms. The shelter deck is a separate part, and the torpedo equipment compartment on the lower level is also accurately reproduced. The air working deck is an integral part, and the shape of the truss girder assembly on the back side is also reproduced. Bridge The base of the bridge structure is a one-piece part with engraving on four sides using a slide mold. The machine gun seat at the front of the bridge is a dedicated part to represent a larger shape. Main gun turret The joints of the heat shield plates on the sides and top of the turret are sculpted in fine detail. Chimneys The front and rear chimneys are both split into right and left sections, and the handrails and double scaffolds are represented with fine carvings. The chimney grate is designed so that the inner tube can be seen through when the grate is removed. The steam dumping pipe is a separate part from the chimney, which increases the level of precision. Mast and Aircraft Rigging The rear mast is a one-piece molding of the lower truss structure, allowing for easy reproduction of the detailed shape. The crane for the water reconnaissance lift is an integral part of the slide mold, and the hook is also represented with delicate modeling. The catapult (Kure Type 2 No. 5) is reproduced realistically with slide molding on the sides and top. Shipboard Aircraft The molding color is gray to improve workability (to prevent damage when cutting the gate). Eight Type Zero (three-seater) waterborne reconnaissance aircraft and four Type Zero waterborne observation aircraft are included. Included decals Included in the kit are the flag of the warship, the national flag, and the rising-sun flag of the ship-borne aircraft. Three sizes of flags are provided. The actual 10-width, 6-width, and 3-width flags are provided in 1/700 scale. Included are the sun marbles and identification stripes (yellow stripes) for aircraft, including the sun marbles without the white border from the later stages of the war. Decals include white lines on masts and ship's name on the stern (gold and filled-in warship colors). The product is an unpainted kit requiring adhesive assembly and painting. The scale is 1/700 and is an offshore model not including the bottom of the ship. The product is composed of conventional (special series) molds and new additional mold parts.
