The Akagi, the flagship of the Nagumo task force that supported the successful advance in the early stages of the Pacific War, is made of finely sculpted parts! (Structure, Specifications, Features) The ship's hull is a single structure with both port and starboard sides. The shape of the ship sloping backward, the numerous portholes, and the intricately shaped hangar sidewalls are represented with one-piece molded parts. The flight deck is a single-piece structure with delicate wooden deck, wind shield, expansion joints, and other sculptures. The lower part of the double flight deck at the rear of the ship is reproduced as a separate part. Elevator is a separate part. The anchor deck and short boat deck are delicately sculpted with non-slip split patterns and tracks. The chimney is a two-part structure with the upper and lower parts attached to each other. Strip patterns on floor surfaces such as high-angle gun turrets are represented by detailed sculptures. The truss columns of the flight deck prop (rear) are sculpted on four sides. Molded in gray color for main parts, bottom plate, machine gun parts, etc. Two types of decals are included. One decal is included for marking onboard aircraft. Includes one decal sheet with flight deck markings, warship flags, and the flight deck/allied identification mark (Hinomaru) from the June 1942 MI operation. Includes 6 aircraft, 2 each of Zero fighter 21, 99 bomber, and 97 attack aircraft, molded in gray. [Included] Runner x49 - Assembly instructions x1 - Decals x4 The standard version is a minimal parts version for easy production. The product is an unpainted kit requiring adhesive assembly and painting. The scale is 1/700, and it is an offshore model not including the bottom of the ship. The product is constructed using conventional (Special Series) molds. (Basic specifications) The kit is designed to be assembled with adhesive, and is characterized by its detailed modeling. The main molding color is gray, and it is designed to be assembled while enjoying painting. The product is based on the appearance at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and at the time of the Midway Island invasion in June 1942. The decals on the flight deck are based on the 1941 version. The decals on the flight deck are provided as they were in 1941. Please note that colors may look different from the actual product due to monitor and image resolution issues. (From Fujimi Models website)
