The newest light cruiser of the treaty-free era - now available in selectable specifications for the final time she sailed with the Yamato and the time in 1944! The light cruiser “Yaharashi” was completed at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal in December 1943 as the third ship of the Agano type during the war. The Agano class was planned as the flagship of the torpedo squadron, and was characterized by its modern appearance and armament, which were distinctly different from the 5,500-ton class ships of the past. The main guns were equipped with three 15cm cannons and two newly developed 8cm long high-angle guns. After its completion, Yahzaki participated in major battles such as the Battle of Mariana and the Battle of Leyte. In between these battles, the anti-aircraft armament was reinforced. In April 1945, she was sent out as the flagship of the second torpedo squadron to escort the battleship Yamato in Operation Ten-Ichi to deal with the U.S. forces that landed on Okinawa. (Basic specifications) The product can be selected from several annual states. The last ship to sail to Okinawa with the Yamato in Operation Ten-ichi in April 1945, carrying 28 25mm single-barreled machine guns. After the Battle of the Marianas from the end of June 1944, she was equipped with 18 25mm single-barreled machine guns, and before the shape of the air working deck was changed. The figure shown is from the Battle of the Marianas in June 1944, when the single machine gun had not been augmented. (Structure, specifications, and features) The modern shape of the Agano type, which is different from the trend of Japanese light cruisers up to that time, has been reproduced in its entirety. The hull is designed with split left and right parts. The porthole windows are reproduced with specially designed parts, which are closed and reduced in number compared to when the ship was completed. The outer electrical circuit running around the entire perimeter of the porthole is delicately sculpted, even the clasps are represented. The deck and bridge are sculpted to represent the linoleum lining and the anti-skid and strip patterns of the steel deck. The bridge forward shelter is an integral part using a slide mold. The side walls are sculpted and shaped with precision. The main gun turret is a slide mold with windows, lattice and steel plate joints on the side and top surfaces. The chimney top grating is sculpted realistically in a loose state, and the internal rectification plate is also sculpted as a separate part. The chimney is designed in separate parts for the left and right sides, and the monkey rattles are sculpted in detail. The steam dumping pipes are separately designed parts to express the difference from the sister ships. The triangular pyramidal truss at the bottom of the mast has been removed using a slide mold. The small cranes on both sides of the aft end of the aviation work deck are accurately and three-dimensionally reproduced as separate parts. The 4.5 meter high angle rangefinder has been accurately reproduced with its cylindrical arms and is included as a dedicated part. The electric probe No. 22, port ladder (retractable), azimuth antenna, and auxiliary wing storage are all included as separate parts. The shield and barrel of the 8cm long anti-aircraft gun are included as separate parts and newly designed exclusively for this model. The water reconnaissance crane has been reproduced up to the light hole on the side to increase the sense of precision. Two Type Zero (three-seater) water reconnaissance aircraft are included. Molding color is gray. (Plus specification is clear) One type of decal included, one decal for marking of onboard water reconnaissance Included] Runner x21 ・Instructions for assembly x1 ・Decals x1 Please note that colors may look different from the actual product due to monitor and image resolution issues.
