Plastic Ship Model Assembly Kit 1/700 FH37 IJN Light Cruiser Yaharashi (Showa 20/1945) Full Hull Model The Imperial Navy series "IJN Light Cruiser Yahzaki" has been reissued with a 2-piece 25mm machine gun included! The light cruiser "Yahzaki" was the third ship of the Agano class and was completed at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal in December 1943 during the war. The Agano class was planned as the flagship of the torpedo squadron, and was characterized by its modern appearance and armament, which were distinctly different from the previous 5,500-ton class. The main guns were equipped with three 15cm cannons and two newly developed 8cm long high-angle cannons. After its completion, Yahzaki participated in major battles such as the Battle of Mariana and the Battle of Leyte. In between these battles, the anti-aircraft armament was reinforced. In April 1945, she was sent out as the flagship of the second torpedo squadron to escort the battleship Yamato in Operation Ten-Ichi to respond to the U.S. forces that landed on Okinawa, and was hit by seven torpedoes and more than 12 bombs from the attack of superior U.S.-flagged aircraft and died on her way to Okinawa. The product can be selected from several annual states. The last ship to sail to Okinawa with the Yamato in Operation Ten-ichi in April 1945, carrying 28 25mm single-barreled machine guns. After the Battle of the Marianas from the end of June 1944, she was equipped with 18 25mm single-barreled machine guns, and before the shape of the air working deck was changed. The figure shows her as she was at the time of the Battle of the Marianas in June 1944, when the single machine gun had not been augmented. Parts corresponding to the annual changes of Yabashi are prepared and enclosed. The high-angle rangefinder's supporting tube has been separately prepared and sealed to correspond to the shape changes between 1944 and 1945. The air working deck is made of special parts corresponding to the shape of the aperture and the two different years. The deck near the stern has two types of dedicated parts to reproduce the different aspects of the outfitting depending on the year. The davits on both sides of the bridge forward are prepared in two types: deployed and retracted. The former is for 1944 and is used when the ship has not been unloaded. The instruction manual has been redesigned to be easier to read and understand. The product is a full hull specification that can reproduce even the bottom of the ship, and comes with a pedestal to enjoy decorating after completion. The 25mm machine gun includes both conventional one-piece parts and more precise two-piece parts. The 25mm machine gun has a two-piece construction, with the gunmetal barrel and base painted in the color of the ship's body for easy reproduction. Two types of decals are included that include the warship flag, the Nissho flag, and the markings of the ship's aircraft. Please note that colors may look different from the actual product due to monitor and image resolution issues. (From Fujimi Models website)
