Newly added molds for the full-hull type of the modified Suzuyama-class heavy cruiser “Ibuki” have been incorporated into this product. (Basic Specifications) ・This is an unpainted kit requiring adhesive assembly and painting. ・Scale is 1/700, featuring a full-hull specification including the hull bottom. ・The product is composed of molds from the previous (Special Series) and newly added molds. ・Below the waterline uses molds designed in 2025; above-water sections use molds designed in 2020 (Product Specifications) ・The product depicts the appearance of the modified Suzuyama-class lead ship “Ibuki” if completed as a heavy cruiser during wartime ・Features dedicated parts to reproduce differences from the Mogami-class, such as the rear mast position and torpedo tubes (Hull) ・Hull parts with a cross-sectional shape identical to the later Mogami-class ships “Suzuyama” and “Kumano” →These are dedicated mold parts with a side profile cross-section differing from the earlier Mogami and Mikuma. ・Portholes reflect the closed configuration implemented based on wartime lessons →Reproduced using dedicated molds prepared separately from the 1941 heavy cruiser Mogami-class. ・Parts configuration is split left and right. (Bridge) ・Equipped with one Type 21 radar, two Type 22 radars, and an E27 counter-radar on the forward mast →Type 22 radars feature ultra-small scale for realistic proportions ・Transparent parts for bridge windows enable more realistic detailing ・Type 94 anti-aircraft mounts on both sides of the bridge →Mogami-class ships used Type 91 mounts; different parts included ・Delicate grating patterns are sculpted onto the floors of the Air Defense Command Post and Compass Bridge ・The Air Defense Command Post includes binocular telescope parts that enhance precision simply by attaching them (Fittings/Central Section) ・Includes the characteristic thin funnels found on ships like Suzuyama and Kumano, equipped with 10 boilers →Includes dedicated parts distinct from the thicker front smoke duct type found on Mogami and Mikuma ・Funnel caps are molded as “removed” parts ・Steam exhaust pipes are designed as separate parts for enhanced precision ・The shelter section where torpedo tubes are mounted features a three-dimensional representation of the reserve torpedo storage ・Torpedo tubes are the quadruple mounts planned in the initial design → Torpedo tubes are exclusive parts for Ibuki ・Torpedo tube positions can be recreated in any orientation → Can reproduce both the standard position along the centerline and the rotated firing stance ・The catapult (Kure Type 2 Model 5) uses a slide mold to realistically recreate the side and top surfaces (Fittings/Stern Side) ・The aft mast is an Ibuki-specific part reproducing its configuration positioned immediately forward of the No. 4 turret →Features include a waterplane aircraft hoist crane and a Type 13 radar, positioned differently from the Suzuyo ・The stern features dedicated parts reproducing anti-submarine armament: depth charge rails and depth charges (Fittings/Armament) ・Precision machine gun parts (triple/twin/single mounts) include separate barrels and mounts → Designed for easy paint separation: paint gunmetal and warship gray, then assemble and glue runners together ・Main gun barrels have fixed elevation angles (Hull Bottom) ・Hull bottom parts feature a single-piece structure for both sides ・Side bulges below the waterline are separate parts; bulges above the waterline are integrated with the hull ・Realistically depicts the shape of the shaft brackets and the curved surface of the eddy plates ・Reproduces the thickness of the rudder mounting area; surface engraving on the balanced twin rudders creates a three-dimensional design ・ Drainage ports are engraved on the hull bottom ・The bilge keel is integrated with the bulge, reproducing the enlarged external shape after performance enhancements (Aircraft) ・Includes three “Zuiun” seaplanes, which appeared as carrier-based reconnaissance aircraft late in the war ・Molded in gray for improved handling (preventing damage during gate removal) (Included Decals) ・Two types of decals, totaling three sheets, are included ・Two sheets contain markings like the warship flag, national flag, and aircraft sun-and-crescent markings → Warship flags come in three sizes: 10-span, 6-span, and 3-span (actual dimensions scaled to 1/700) → Includes aircraft sun-and-crescent markings and friendly identification bands (yellow stripes); sun-and-crescent markings include post-war variants without white borders ・One sheet of decals featuring stern ship names, white lines for rear masts, and draft marks → Stern ship names available in gold and solid navy blue Please note that colors may appear different on monitors or due to image resolution compared to the actual product.
