This product features a full hull specification allowing reproduction down to the keel, and includes a display stand for enjoyment after completion. The product is modeled after the ship's appearance during Operation Ten-Go in 1945. [Hull] The hull consists of a single piece incorporating both sides and the upper wooden deck. ・Portholes, characteristic of the late war period, are represented with raised molding depicting their sealed state. ・Wooden deck is represented with raised molding. ・Parts, including the hull and bottom plates, are molded in gray. ・The bridge and funnels are designed as left-right assembly parts. ・The lower hull is a single molded part, with the propeller section and rudder as separate parts. 【Armament】 Equipment reflecting the enhanced anti-aircraft armament of the final configuration: ・Main guns feature integrated barrels and gun mantlets, with elevation angles fixed at the locked position. ・Only the two secondary guns, reduced during refit, are included as integrated turret and barrel parts. ・The 25mm triple machine guns (without shields) include both the original molded parts and precision-molded parts from the 2018 mold, allowing for selection. ・The barrel elevation angle for the shielded 25mm triple machine guns can be selected from two options: high elevation or locked position. ・The additional machine gun mounts added above the main gun turret and at the stern are reproduced with dedicated parts. ・Two types of carrier-based seaplanes are included: the Zero Observation Plane and the Zero (Three-Seat) Seaplane Reconnaissance Plane, with two of each type. ・The carrier aircraft are molded in gray for ease of assembly. 【Decals】 Three types of decals are included, one sheet each. ・Decals featuring the Imperial Japanese Navy ensign, Rising Sun flag, and carrier aircraft markings. ・A decal sheet featuring draft markings, the chrysanthemum crest on the bow, and ship name markings on the stern (two types: gold and painted over in warship gray). ・A decal sheet included to easily represent the walkways on the rear flight deck. 【Photo-Etched Parts】 Photo-etched parts are included to represent details difficult to achieve with injection-molded parts.
