Fujimi 1/700 IJN Series No.20 EX-3 Japanese aircraft carrier Zuikaku Full Hull Model Special Edition (Includes Etched Parts And Wooden Deck Decals)

A special edition of the Imperial Navy Series “Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku” that includes etched parts and a wooden deck decal! This kit features a full-hull design that allows you to recreate the ship’s underside, and it comes with a display base so you can enjoy showing off your finished model. The lower hull is a single-piece molded part, while the propellers and rudder are separate parts. The 25mm twin machine guns are included in both the conventional one-piece design and a more precise two-piece version. The 2-piece 25mm machine gun design features a gunmetal-colored barrel and a hull-colored base, making it easy to paint them separately for accurate reproduction. The kit is based on the camouflage scheme used during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in Showa 19. The molded color of the carrier-based aircraft is gray for ease of assembly. Decals are included featuring the Hinomaru on the carrier-based aircraft, white lines on the deck, and the naval ensign. Etched parts are included to capture even the finest details that are difficult to reproduce with injection-molded parts. The etched parts include handrails, ladders, catapults, funnel handrails, footrests, flagpoles, elevators, wind deflectors, and arresting gear. The wooden deck decals have been surface-treated with a laser cutter to reproduce an irregular wood grain pattern. They are cut to fit the kit’s parts, allowing you to easily and realistically recreate the intricate lines of the wooden deck pattern?which are difficult to achieve with paint alone?using the decals. Please note that due to monitor settings and image resolution, the colors may appear different from the actual product. (From the Fujimi Models website)
