Battleship YAMATO - Sailing for Okinawa! Etching parts are included in the last appearance “black painted deck” specification! The product is based on the motif at the time of Operation Ten-ichi (Okinawa suicide mission) in April 1945. The ship's bottom and body parts are divided at the waterline, so both an ocean-going model and a full hull model can be produced. In order to express the differences in shape from the products made when the ship was completed or in 1944, dedicated parts are used for these parts. No painting is required: Each part is colored by molding color, and some parts are colored with stickers. No need for gluing: The parts are designed to fit into each other for easy assembly. Wooden deck parts are molded in a special dark gray color instead of the conventional wood color and are enclosed in special parts. The screw propellers are molded in a more realistic gold color than the conventional beige color. Etching parts include handrails, rattles, ladders, cranes, chimney surrounds, No. 13 electric probe, No. 21 electric probe, azimuth finder, watertight doors, and chrysanthemum crest. The ship's body is split left and right, and divided at the waterline. Molded in a special gray color that mimics the warship colors used at the Kure Naval Arsenal. The porthole windows are specially designed to be closed, with concave engraving for the unclosed windows and convex engraving for the closed windows. The porthole is well reproduced with the port side electrical circuit. The bottom of the ship is a one-piece part using a slide mold. The joint processing is unnecessary. Barbas bow of the bow is realistically reproduced in three-dimensional modeling. The rudder is three-dimensional in a square mold different from the third ship Shinano. The rudder face is full of a sense of precision, which also expresses the seam of the steel plate. The main gun can be turned and elevated. Achieved both minimal parts and realistic modeling. The direction of the 46cm main gun barrel is made open using a slide mold. Dedicated parts are provided for both the main gun canopy and the machine gun seat to reproduce the additional machine gun seat on the 2nd and 3rd main gun canopies. The secondary gun can be swiveled, and the barrel and turret are one-piece construction. The bridge is a split and slide mold to minimize the joints between parts, and the parts are integrated into one piece. The No. 22 electric searchlights on both sides of the bridge are specially designed to reproduce the relocated form of the ship. The 15-meter rangefinder and azimuth panel are designed to be swivelable. The additional manning station at the rear of the bridge and the enlarged signal station deck are exclusively designed as parts for this model. The chimney is a combination of left and right side, and even the steam dumping pipe, whistle pipe, and monkey rattles are all represented as a single piece. The cap part (lattice) at the top has been removed for a very realistic modeling with a sense of depth. The mast is a two-piece structure, designed to integrate the No. 13 electric probe that was installed during this period. Two models of shipboard aircraft are included with dark green exclusive color parts. One each of a Type Zero (three-seater) water reconnaissance plane and a Type Zero observation plane. Panel lines are sculpted with concave engraving, and the propeller is integrated with the fuselage by slide mold for precise representation. Pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion tracking properties are included for easy coloring of details. Included are waterproof canvases for the main and secondary guns, a walking belt behind the third main gun, the warship flag, and the Hinomaru mark for the ship's aircraft. Also included are the banner of the non-rigid Gongten, the Kikusui mark next to the chimney, and the flag of the last seated commander, Rear Admiral Seiichi Ito. A pedestal designed in a discreet straight black tone is enclosed for display after completion. Adhesive-type bonus parts are included for users who require more precision. Bonus parts include 78 machine gun ammunition boxes, mast prop, and aerial line prop on the secondary gun canopy. The box art is by Yoshiyuki Takani, depicting the Yamato sailing at high speed in clear weather. Molded parts are available in 6 colors (Kure Naval Arsenal colors and Kure Arsenal colors). (Kure Naval Arsenal color, bottom color, black, dark gray, gold, and dark green) Size when completed: 379x60x77mm (excluding the pedestal for display) [Contents] ・Runner x 29 ・Instructions for assembly x 2 ・Color stickers x 1 Please note that the colors may look different from the actual product due to monitor and image resolution issues.
