(Special package and display background paper included” specification to coincide with the completion date of December 17, 1941. The package is a photo of the actual ship, which is different from the previous product, and is from the time of the Yamato's public trials in October 1941. As an appendix, background paper for display after completion (full-color background picture on one side / black-and-white actual photo on the other side) is provided. The size of the background paper is approximately 141 x 556 mm and U-shaped. The product is designed as the appearance at the time of completion of the ship in December 1941, soon after the Pacific War started. The differences in shape from the final model and the model of 1944 are reproduced using special parts. The ship's body is divided into left and right sections, and split at the waterline. Molded in a special gray color that mimics the warship color used at the Kure Naval Arsenal. The porthole windows are reproduced in their original state before they were closed for unsinkability measures. The porthole is molded in a special color and the porthole windows are sculpted with crisp sculpture to reproduce the numerous portholes. The bottom of the ship is a one-piece part using a slide mold. The joints are not necessary. The bulbous bow of the bow is realistically reproduced in three-dimensional modeling. The rudder is three-dimensional in a square mold different from the third ship Shinano. The rudder face is full of a sense of precision, which also expresses the seam of the steel plate. The main gun can be turned and elevated. Achieved both minimal parts and realistic modeling. The 46cm main gun barrel is oriented to open using a slide mold. The canopy of the main gun is prepared as a special part with the additional machine gun seat not installed. The secondary gun can be swiveled, and the barrel and turret are one-piece construction. The bridge is made of split and slide mold to minimize the joints between parts, and the parts are integrated into one piece. The bridge parts include a special part to reproduce the signal command station, which was a feature of the ship when completed. The 15-meter rangefinder and azimuth panel are designed to be swivelable. The signal deck at the rear of the bridge is prepared as a dedicated part for the completion of the ship with a narrow area. The chimney is a combination of left and right side, and even the steam dump pipe, steam whistle pipe and monkey rattles are all represented as one piece. The cap part (lattice) at the top has been removed for a very realistic modeling with a sense of depth. Two types of shipboard aircraft are included with dark green color parts. One each of a Type Zero (three-seater) water reconnaissance plane and a Type Zero observation plane. The panel lines are sculpted with concave engraving, and the propeller is integrated with the fuselage by slide mold for precise representation. Pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion tracking properties are included for easy coloring of details. Includes waterproof canvas for the main and secondary guns, a walking belt behind the third main gun, the flag of the warship, and the Hinomaru mark of the ship's onboard aircraft. Includes a pedestal designed in a discreet straight black tone for display after completion. Adhesive-type bonus parts are included for users who require more precision. Bonus parts include 26 machine gun ammunition boxes, mast prop, and aerial line prop on the secondary gun canopy. Molded parts are available in a total of 6 colors. (Kure Naval Arsenal color, bottom color, black, white, wood deck color, dark green) Size when completed: 379x60x77mm (excluding the pedestal for display) [Contents] ・Runner x39 ・Instructions for assembly x1 ・Color stickers x1 ・Background paper for display x1 Inner paper is sealed to cover the parts just before closing the box (the visible side (top side) is the side of the actual ship photo). The initial specification of the onboard reconnaissance boat is incorrect (the correct setting is Type 95 reconnaissance boat). Please note that colors may look different from the actual product due to monitor and image resolution issues. (From Fujimi Models website)
