The Wave Series, which includes a sea surface stage that can easily and realistically express sailing figures after completion, is now available! (Structure and specification features) Pre-colored parts are used to reproduce the coloring of the model without painting. Snap-fit assembly allows for assembly without the use of adhesives. The sea base is included for easy and realistic display of the model sailing at sea. (Product Features) Modeled during Operation Ten-ichi (Okinawa Kamikaze Operation) in April 1945. Scale 1/700. The sea surface base for display features a three-dimensional representation of the wake waves generated by the bow, porthole, and propulsion system. Ship's body The ship's hull is divided into left and right sections, with the left and right sections separated by the waterline. Molded in a special gray color that mimics the warship color used at the Kure Naval Arsenal. The porthole parts are dedicated to make the porthole windows look closed, and the unclosed windows are sculpted concave and the closed windows are sculpted convex. The porthole is sculpted with concave sculpture for unclosed windows and convex sculpture for closed windows. Armament The main gun can be elevated and swiveled. Minimal parts and realistic modeling. The direction of the 46cm main gun barrel is opened by using a slide mold. Dedicated parts are provided for both the main gun canopy and the machine gun turret to reproduce the additional machine gun turret on the canopies of the 2nd and 3rd main guns. The secondary gun can be swiveled, and the barrel and turret are one-piece construction. Bridge The bridge is made of a split and slide mold to minimize the number of joints between parts, and the parts are integrated. The No. 22 electric searchlights on both sides of the bridge are specially designed to reproduce the relocated form of the ship. The 15-meter rangefinder and azimuth panel are designed to be swivelable. The additional manning station and enlarged signal deck at the rear of the bridge are exclusively designed parts. Chimney/Mast The chimney is a combination of left and right side, and steam dumping pipe, whistle pipe, and monkey rattal are all represented as a single piece. The cap part (lattice) at the top of the chimney is not included in the model and has a very realistic modeling with a sense of depth. The mast is a two-piece structure, designed to integrate the No. 13 electric probe that was installed during this period. Carrier-borne aircraft Two types of shipboard aircraft are included with dark green color parts. One each of Type Zero (three-seater) water reconnaissance plane and Type Zero observation plane. The panel lines are sculpted with concave engraving, and the propeller is integrated with the fuselage by slide mold for precise representation. Sea level base for display The base is a special mold part to match the draft line shape of the Yamato type made of plastic. (Molded in 2025). The outer dimensions are 396mm long x 134mm wide x 17mm high, and the molding color is clear blue (color /B01). The model reproduces the waves spreading from the bow to the port side, the suppressed sea surface on the port side, and the sea surface modeling generated by the propulsion system. The ship's cross-sectional section at the waterline is compatible with the Yamato type of the special series as well as the ship NEXT series. Three 1mm thick spacers are included to increase the height of the bow (made of paper). Attached stickers Pre-cut stickers are included for easy coloring of details. Includes waterproof canvas for the main and secondary guns, a walking belt behind the 3rd main gun, the flag of the warship, and the Hinomaru mark for the ship's aircraft. Also included are the banner of the non-rational Gongten, the Kikusui mark next to the chimney, and the flag of the last seated commander, Rear Admiral Seiichi Ito. Bonus Parts Bonus parts are included for users who want more precision. Bonus parts include 78 machine gun ammunition boxes, mast prop, and aerial prop on the secondary gun canopy. Molded parts are available in 7 colors. (Kure Naval Arsenal color, bottom color, black, dark gray, gold, dark green, and clear blue) Size when completed: 396 (L) x 134 (W) x 88 (H) mm, including the sea surface base for display.
