A special edition Nagato with etching parts is back in production! ●This product depicts the ship's appearance during Operation Sh?-1 in October 1944, after long serving as the Combined Fleet flagship. ・Features modifications based on combat lessons learned, including radar installation, removal of secondary guns, and sealing of portholes. ●Key Reproduction Features 〇Hull ・Sides feature reproduced armor plate seams for a highly detailed appearance. ・Most portholes are blocked, with the shape of the sealing plates delicately expressed through raised engraving. ・Pre-painted plastic parts colored to match the Kure Naval Arsenal color, based on records from docking in May-June 1943. 〇Hull Bottom ・Seam lines on the hull bottom plate are reproduced with delicate engraving. ・Drainage ports on the bottom are depicted based on surviving ship drawings. ・The hull bottom, screw brackets, and rudder are molded in red; the propellers are molded in gold, eliminating the need for painting. 〇Bridge ・The main observation post and auxiliary command post feature reproduced protective steel plates at the front. ・The bridge deck surfaces at each level are reproduced in detail, including linoleum, grating, and strips. ・Slide molds were used for the walls at the base of the bridge to express the sculpted texture. 〇Main Guns & Secondary Guns ・The presence/absence of canopies and ladders for the No. 1 & 4 and No. 2 & 3 main guns is represented with separate parts. ・Main gun muzzles feature openings formed by slide molding. ・The waterproof canvas covers for the secondary guns are faithfully reproduced without omission. 〇Funnels, Flight Deck, etc. ・The funnels incorporate auxiliary equipment like steam exhaust pipes as integrated parts for easier assembly. ・The flight deck is a pre-colored, molded part in linoleum color, eliminating the need for painting. ・Even the fasteners for the aircraft transfer rails are finely sculpted. ・The catapult employs a slide mold to accurately reproduce the side trusses and upper surface shape. ・The two Type 13 radar units on the aft mast are molded as a single piece with their mounts, reducing assembly steps. ・The aircraft hoisting crane is depicted in stowed position, with the base cover reproduced based on surviving photographs. 〇Other Features ・Emergency timber storage areas, symbolic of wartime, are reproduced at various locations in the ship's midsection. ・Two 9m cutters are depicted deployed and suspended, two are stowed on deck, and the starboard aft davit is in stowed position with one cutter included as a bonus. ・Sandbags stacked for ballistic protection around single-mount machine gun positions are recreated with dedicated parts. ・Sandbag parts feature a beige-colored burlap sack appearance. ・One dark green Zero-type seaplane reconnaissance aircraft is included as a carrier-based reconnaissance plane. ・The Zero-type seaplane features specifications to recreate the Hinomaru and yellow band using included decals. 〇 Included Decals ・Decals specific to the battleship Nagato are included. ・Includes a variety of pre-cut decals for detailing, plus bonus decals with niche content. ・Includes the military ensign, main gun waterproof canvas, bridge windows, and emergency timber. ・Bonus parts include a single machine gun mounting bracket, propeller shaft (gold), bridge canvas, etc. (Cutting required) 〇Bonus Parts ・Includes parts for heavy users to recreate and integrate via adhesive. ・Bonus parts include machine gun armor plates, gangway, 25mm single-mount machine gun, deck intake/exhaust ducts, bridge external intercom, binoculars, etc. 〇Display Base ・Redesigned shape for improved stability! Lower center of gravity and increased footprint ensure stability. ・The horizontal surface features a smooth finish and a textured engraved pattern. Painting it blue creates a reversible part that evokes the image of waves. ・Molded in black, consisting of 4 parts total. These etching parts allow for detailed representation down to the finest details, something difficult to achieve with injection-molded parts. Use them as desired, from prominent areas to the finest details. These richly detailed etching parts offer a wide range of options for selection. Included etching parts: various handrails (legless type, some with sagging effect) for the hull, bridge, turret sections, ladders, ratchets, watertight doors, gangways, direction finders, Type 21 radar, searchlight truss bases, cranes, bridge window frames, boat davits, Type 2 No. 5 launchers, machine gun shields, machine gun sights, single machine guns, seaplane propellers, loop antennas, Type 13 radar, main gun barrel canvas covers, funnel rainwater cover wire mesh, aft yard sections, carrier aircraft trolleys, and turret aerial supports. This series features a snap-fit design requiring no adhesives, setting it apart from conventional kits. All assembly is snap-fit (excluding bonus parts for heavy users). Primary color separation is achieved using pre-colored molded parts, while details and markings are reproduced with highly conformable real stickers. Please note that colors may appear different on monitors or due to image resolution compared to the actual product. (From the Fujimi Models website)
