KanNEXT Shiranui & Sh?un 2-Ship Set with Etching Parts is Back in Production! This product features the second ship of the Kagero-class destroyers, “Shiranui,” and the nineteenth ship, “Sh?un,” as they appeared from the start of the war until 1942. The primary molded color is a slightly bright gray representing the Maizuru Naval Arsenal color. The hull uses a separate mold for the closed portholes, distinct from the late-war hull, as a dedicated part. The forward bridge lacks the additional machine gun mounts, featuring a dedicated linoleum deck part. The 25mm machine guns near the funnels are the twin-mounted type, prior to being replaced with triple mounts. The aft deck, equipped with depth charges, recreates the pre-war modified appearance using dedicated fittings. As this was a pre-radar era, both the forward and aft masts are recreated without radar using dedicated parts. Highly conforming pre-cut decals are included, enabling detailed color separation without painting. Decals include gun barrel covers, lifebuoys, and the interior of the cutter. For painters, one decal sheet is included featuring the linoleum deck behind the bridge and lifebuoys. Two sets of etching parts are included, allowing for detailed representation down to elements difficult to achieve with injection-molded parts.
