A “2-tone version” with a black roof, which is unique on the JB64 Jimny, is now available! The product is based on the XC grade of the JB64W-1 model launched in 2018. The XC grade features special aluminum wheels and mirrors with turn lamps. The detailed molding is accurately reproduced due to the unique size of the 1/24 scale. The body is made of a special molding material to reproduce a level of gloss that is difficult to achieve with paint. Molded in seven exclusive colors: ivory, black, silver, gun metallic, clear smoke, clear, and clear red. The body and roof are separate parts, each molded and colored in its own color. Even when assembled straight, the colored parts give the appearance of being painted separately, and even in the case of painting, the parts are divided to greatly reduce masking work. The body is box-shaped using a slide mold to accurately reproduce the square style. Hood, rear, roof, etc. are stacked and fitted into the body parts in the standard structure of the Car NEXT series. Recessed molding of door panels, etc. are represented in a depth that is well-defined to accommodate paint smudging. The underbody is constructed with the ladder frame as a stand-alone part to which ancillary parts are attached. Leading arm, trading arm, front and rear differential gear cases and drive shafts are sculpted as separate parts. The shape of the undercarriage is based on the motif of the 4AT model. The headlights are LED type, which are only available on the XC. (The headlight washers have been omitted due to mold reasons.) The side mirrors are reproduced in the shape exclusive to the XC with embedded turn lights. The driver/passenger window is designed as a separate piece of glass and frame, eliminating the need for sticker coloring and masking when painting. Rear window (side/rear) is exclusively molded in smoke color to express the color difference from the front side. The rear glass defogger is delicately sculpted. The wiper arms and blades are fine molded parts with a realistic appearance, and the concave shape of the blade surface is also expressed by fine sculpture. The steering wheel and instrument panel are exclusive parts reproducing the features of the XC. The seat is a two-piece structure to reproduce both the seat side and back, and the rear seat headrests are reproduced in a lowered position. The aluminum wheels are exclusive to the XC grade and are realistically reproduced in gun metallic molding color. Tires are made of molded rubbery resin and are made from a dedicated mold (new mold). 175/80R16 on-road tires are included. Stickers are pre-cut and easy to apply. The stickers include the meter panel, logo, and vehicle number. Rear spare tire is made of the same rubber material as the four wheels. The rear lights are made of stacked clear-red and clear molded color parts to reproduce two-color light lenses. The lights are sculpted to represent the curved surface of the reflectors and bulbs in detail. The product is a 1/24 scale kit that requires assembly. No painting required: Each part is colored in its own molded color, and the body has a glossy texture that cannot be achieved by painting. No need for gluing: parts are designed to fit together for easy assembly.
