About the snow wind
Yukikaze is known as the most glorious presence among Japanese naval vessels.
There are many words praising the snow breeze such as "martial ship" "lucky ship" "ship of miracle".
Yukikaze always engaged in major operations since the beginning of the Second World War, not to mention battle,
I ran around the Pacific soon after escorting, transporting, rescuing and resting.
Moreover, on the day of the end of the war, it was one of the few destroyers that could be active.

● Tennouchi Operation
In April 1950, the battleship Yamato and Light Circle 矧, the second fleet organized with 8 destroyers.
Yukikaze joined the battle line along with the iso style of the same type ship, the bamboo style.
On the afternoon of April 6, the fleet sank from the Seto Inland Sea for relief from Okinawa.
The operation named "Tensai No. 1 Operation" was not supported by aircraft and the possibility of survival was a very low strategy.
Yukikaze did a hard defense battle with other ships, but the history shows that Yamato ended in a fierce end.
Yukikaze survives as the name of the lucky ship in this strategy, and has returned to Kure.
