Plastic ship model assembly kit
Originally this ship was launched in Yokosuka Arsenal in May 1940 as the Yamato Type Battleship Third Ship (No. 110 Ship).
However, because of losing four aircraft carriers in the Battle of Midway in June 1942, the plan for renovation to the aircraft carrier was summarized in July of that year, and on November 19, 1944, as the heavy armored super large aircraft carrier "Shinano" It was completed. At that time, the Union fleet was destroyed in the battle of Leyte in October, and a few days after the completion, the bombing to Tokyo by B - 29 began in the harsh circumstances. Shinano which the final outfitting work was left was discovered in the American submarine "Archerfish" on the way to the western part of Utsumi from Yokosuka in order to escape the difficulties from the air raid, and it was discovered by the direct hit of four torpedoes, I closed my whole life.
Based on the latest materials, the kit assumes the case where Shinano was operated in the actual war, and models the state where many antiaircraft firearms are fully loaded. It is a "beginner friendly genuine scale model" that emphasizes ease of assembly while reproducing details of details with a small number of parts. The hull is divided into right and left parts, and the bilge keel is molded integrally with a slide mold. We adopted a structure that sandwiches the girder parts, realizing strength and reliable assembly. One of the features of this ship, the large flight deck finished with concrete tension is molded in one part. The island type bridge and the inclined chimney are also precisely reproduced.
The aircraft is selected from the aircraft that was scheduled to be installed, and a total of 6 aircraft including Zero Fighter Type 52 x 2, Tian Mountain x 1, Meteor Shu Kai x 1, Saiun Cloud x 1, Shoden Kai 2 x 1 are included. Sho - electric Kaiji was a ship - mounted aircraft type with two 13 - mm machine guns on the nose and a hook for harvesting, and only the prototype was manufactured. When the Shinano trial operation in mid-November 1944, the prototype is doing a landing test.
