Plastic Sci-Fi/Animation Character Assembly Kit Setting Description The "Definition Armor" is a new weapon category that aims to reduce size and cost by applying the technology of the "Bulk Arm α", a successful humanoid bipedal heavy hexagear. The initial development component is built as a system with a new type of reinforced exoskeleton at its core, in which the governor is covered with simple armor and a power unit, and working limbs such as legs and arms are connected to the outer periphery. This "Scarecrow"-like specification was put into field trials with the claim that it was a new type of reinforced exoskeleton that would enable high mass production and heavy weapon operation by infantry. It was evaluated as "half-baked in every respect. In search of the best solution as a weapon, the company decided to modify the definition armor to further reduce its weight and improve its mass-producibility. The new model equipped with a large rear propulsion unit is called the "Aerial Fighter," and it is capable of high-speed deployment through low-altitude leaping maneuvers, which had been impossible with the Bulk Armor series. The legs had a minimal frame structure that could support the fuselage, and the work limbs that made up the arms were also modified to be simple for suspending armament. It was eventually mass-produced in fixed quantities. Although it was not well received at first, the name of the "Woodpecker," equipped with a single stanning lance and capable of stranding slow-moving enemy aircraft with a single sharp stab, became widely known, and the sight of an extremely small unit using its mobility against heavyweight Hexagear brought an impact to the battlefield that reminded us that a new generation had arrived.
