Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniature Series No.392 GERMAN 5cm ANTI-TANK GUN (Pak38)

Overall length = 142 mm. Photo shows assembled and painted kit. First unveiled at the “2025 IPMS/USA National Convention” model event held in Virginia, USA, starting Wednesday, August 6th. The 5cm Anti-Tank Gun Pak38 began deployment to units in July 1940 as the successor to the 3.7cm Pak36, the German Army's main anti-tank gun at the outbreak of World War II. Featuring innovative designs such as a muzzle brake, lightweight aluminum alloy mount, and a curved shield constructed from two layers of 4mm armor plate, it could penetrate 61mm armor plate at a 60-degree angle from 500m using the Pzgr.39 armor-piercing round. Starting with the Balkan Front in the spring of 1941, the Pak 38 earned the trust of German officers and soldiers across a wide range of theaters, including Russia and North Africa.
