Flying guidance team (present ・ flight instruction group) was founded in December 1981 as a virtual enemy unit in the Air Self Defense Force.
It is known as an elite unit with dedicated fuselage and skilled crew members, with the main duty of air battle training with each fighter unit.
Originally, domestically produced supersonic practice machine T-2 was deployed, and in 1990, 11 machines were operated before turning over to F - 15 DJ.
Various paintings and markings different from ordinary T-2 were given to become a virtual enemy aircraft in the air battle training, and gained popularity with a unique presence.
