A special blue with a special thought mark! About the Blue Impulse: The Blue Impulse, an acrobatic flight team of the Air Self-Defense Force, gave courage and hope to the Japanese people with their display flights in various locations during the Corona Disaster. Japan's Air Self-Defense Force's world-class acrobatic flight team was established in 1960 as the Aerial Maneuver Research Group of the 2nd Wing, 1st Air Wing. The first aircraft used was the F-86F, the equipped jet of the time. It was not until 1996 that the T-4 became the aircraft used. The various wakes drawn by smoke in the sky are popular as the highlight of air festivals. The Blue Impulse has been flying from its home base at Matsushima AB, but due to the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in 2011, it was temporarily based at Ashiya AB. They were able to return to the Matsushima base in March 2013. This year, 2023, marks the 10th anniversary of the return to the Matsushima base. To commemorate the return, the 10th anniversary mark was painted on the aircraft from the Miho Air Base Air Festival in Tottori Prefecture in May, attracting the attention of fans. About the model: In March 2013, the Blue Impulse, an acrobatic flight team of the Air Self-Defense Force, returned to Matsushima Air Base after being temporarily based at Ashiya Air Base due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The 2023 season marked the 10th anniversary of their return. The model is a 1/100 scale assembly kit of the aircraft with the commemorative markings painted on the air intakes from the Miho Air Base Air Festival held in May in Tottori Prefecture. The kit is divided into moderate parts for easy and reliable assembly. The finished model is approximately 13 cm in length and realistically depicts the T-4's fuselage shape as well as panel lines and other details. The decals include the aircraft number for the 2023 season, which was launched at the Iwakuni Air Base Friendship Day in April, and the 10th anniversary mark of the return to Matsushima Air Base, which has been painted since May. The aircraft can be reproduced at eight base air festivals. (April: Iwakuni, July: Chitose, August: Matsushima, September: Misawa, October: Hamamatsu, November: Gifu, December: Shintabara & Naha) The model comes with a display stand and can be changed to either parked or in flight by replacing the leg parts. The kit is easy to assemble, so it would be a good idea to build all of the planes. Reproduction of the Blue Impulse T-4 in 1/100 scale. Easy-to-build configuration with a minimum number of parts Finished length is approximately 13cm. The aircraft number from the start of the 2023 season is provided.
