This plastic model assembly kit of the 1/72 scale F-15 Eagle from Platz is highly acclaimed by airplane model fans. The model reproduces the F-15C of the U.S. Air Force specification. Vertical tail wing parts and other differences from the Self-Defense Force aircraft are well reproduced. The fuselage shape and the expression of each panel line promise a realistic finish. The engine nozzles are also reproduced in separate parts, and the delicate reproduction of the legs and other parts are not to be missed. The cockpit is reproduced in 1/72 scale, including the instrument panel and seats, with detailed representation that can only be achieved in 1/72 scale. The markings are selected from the aircraft belonging to the 44th Fighter Wing of the 18th Wing of the U.S. Air Force, which deployed from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa to Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia in 2020. New decals reproduce the downed markings as a MIG killer and the markings on the nose art points. Also included are the markings of two aircraft each belonging to the 44th and 67th Fighter Squadrons when stationed at Kadena Air Base, for a total of four types.
