Natural metal finish with an eye-catching blue 40 About the actual aircraft: The MiG-21 is a Soviet fighter aircraft masterpiece that has been in operation since 1959, with each type being produced and still in service in the 2000s. It was designed by the Mikoyan Gregovich Design Bureau, and the first flight of the prototype was in 1955. The first flight of the prototype was in 1955, and in 1956 it was given the official name MiG-21. The first production model was called the MiG-21F, followed by improved versions. Among these, the MiG-21bis was the most complete version of the MiG-21. The MiG-21bis first flew in 1971. It was powered by a single Zmansky R-25-300 turbojet engine. It had a maximum speed of 2175 km/h. The armament consisted of one GSh-23L 23mm machine gun as a fixed armament. The fuselage was provided with four hardpoints and could carry up to 1,300 kg of armament. It was widely deployed and operated not only in the Soviet Union but also in the Communist bloc countries. About the model: The model is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the MiG-21, the Soviet masterpiece fighter. This model is of the MiG-21bis type, one of the many variations of the MiG-21, which was the mainstay of the Soviet fleet from the 1970s to the 1980s. The delta wing with air intakes in the nose accurately reproduces the unique shadow of the MiG-21 fishbed. Parts are made by Eduard for reliable assembly. The bump from the rear of the cockpit to the vertical tail wing is reproduced with separate parts to accurately represent the shape of the fuselage. In addition, the air brake parts can be assembled with or without the air brake. You can also choose whether to open or close the airbrake parts for a different finished look. The cockpit interior is also modeled in detail, including the instrument panel and seats. Markings are reproduced in natural metal silver fuselage with blue tactical number 40 painted on the nose. The Cyrillic letters behind the number 40, which represent the permission of the Communist Youth League of the Soviet Union, are also reproduced with decals.
