The T-1 trainer, which first appeared as a domestic jet after the war and raised many pilots, is very important in the history of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. One machine that attracted a lot of attention with its presence that symbolizes such history appeared at 1/72. In 2004, the 50th anniversary of the Air Self-Defense Force, we modeled the special marking T-1B training aircraft that appeared at the birthplace of the Air Self-Defense Force, Hamamatsu Base in Shizuoka Prefecture.
The special paint applied to Unit 854 belonging to Hamamatsu Base 1st Service School is based on the three keywords of Enshu Nada's wind and waves, Hatsuka's wings, Mt. Fuji and swallows. It was a suitable presence to commemorate the establishment of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the 50th anniversary of the traditional school at the same time.
The model reproduces the impressive coloring with a skillful combination of red and blue with silk screen decals made by Italian cult graph. In addition to the white paint on the base, most of the coloring is covered with decals that are easy to apply, and of course Mt. Fuji, which is drawn large on the underside of the aircraft, is also available.
The kit has a well-established structure that is both easy to assemble and reproducible. It is a 1/72 kit that you can swing your arm to the memorial special painting.
