[About the actual machine]
The F-2 is an advanced training aircraft that has trained many elite pilots of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force that protects the skies of Japan. It was the first supersonic aircraft originally developed in Japan.
It first flew in 1971, started operation in 1974, and was active until 2006. The engine is equipped with two TF40-IHI-801A turbofan engines from Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries. The maximum speed was Mach 1.6.
It was divided into the early type, which was used for training the basic course of combat maneuvering without armament, and the late type, which was used for the training of the subsequent combat maneuvering course.
