Tomcat will be further aligned in 1/144 scale easy to assemble! [About the actual aircraft] The F-14A Tomcat was operated as the mainstay of the U.S. Navy fighter force from 1973. The main feature of the Tomcat was the use of variable retractable wings. The F-14, which was required to operate on aircraft carriers as a ship-based fighter, adopted variable wings to ensure STOL performance during landing and takeoff, and to save space on the ship. Two Pratt & Whitney TF30-P-412A engines were installed. In addition, the AWG-9 fire control radar, capable of simultaneously tracking 24 targets and simultaneously attacking six of them, and the AIM-54 Phoenix air-to-air missile were installed to provide a high level of capability for fleet defense.
