Aoshima's Waterline Series gets a more precise makeover!! The special ship “Akitsu Maru” was built with amphibious assaults in mind. Originally intended to operate 13 Type 97 fighters, it lacked landing gear and instead saw action in the Southern Theater during the early stages of the war, including the Dutch East Indies campaign. This kit recreates the Akitsu Maru as a transport ship in 1942, presented as a 1/700 scale plastic model kit.
