A special edition of the Imperial Navy Series “Aircraft Carrier Zuiho” that includes etched parts and wooden deck decals! This kit features a full-hull design that allows you to recreate the ship’s underside, and comes with a display base so you can enjoy showing off your finished model. The lower hull is a single-piece molded part, while the propeller and rudder are separate parts. The 25mm twin machine guns include both the conventional one-piece parts and more precise two-piece parts. The 25mm machine guns are a two-piece assembly, with the gun barrel in gunmetal and the base in the ship’s hull color, making it easy to paint them separately for accurate reproduction. Structural and Specification Features □ This is a kit that is assembled using adhesive to join the molded parts. Product Features □ The product is modeled after the ship’s appearance in October Showa 19 (Operation Sh?-1). □ It reproduces the final configuration, featuring an extended flight deck at the bow and a mast equipped with a Type 13 radar. Hull □ The hull is divided into left and right sections. □ The hull and keel are separated at the waterline, with the keel formed as a single, integrated part. □ The external wiring is depicted with delicate engraving all around the hull. □ The passageway and support pillars at the rear end of the hangar (upper deck/top deck), as well as the stern capstan and auxiliary anchor, are separate parts. □ Detailed three-dimensional engraving is applied to even the finest details, including the underside of the side sponsons and the reinforcing ribs. □ The bridge deck and the aft launch deck reproduce the linoleum-covered flooring. Flight Deck □ The flight deck consists of two separate parts?the front and rear sections of the extension?connected by a discreet expansion joint. □ The elevator can be displayed in either the raised or lowered position, and the windscreen is a separate part to ensure realistic detailing. □ Delicate engraving details depict the expansion joints, wooden deck, and split-patterned surfaces. Outfitting □ With an eye toward accurate reproduction, most parts of the sponsons on the sides are separate components. □ The funnel features a two-piece top-and-bottom assembly, and the lattice structure of the exhaust ports is also a separate part, allowing for a reproduction with a sense of depth. □ The auxiliary funnel is reproduced as a single piece, including the base, in the “raised” position. □ The radio antenna mast consists of a separate base and mast, allowing you to choose between the raised and lowered positions. □ Machine gun turrets and rocket launchers on both sides of the stern and bow are reproduced using dedicated parts. Aircraft □ Two types of aircraft are included. □ Includes two Type 52 Zero fighters and two Tenzan aircraft. Decals □ Decals include white deck lines, the ship’s name, landing marks, the naval ensign, and the Hinomaru flags for the aircraft. Etched Parts □ Etched parts are included to reproduce even the finest details that are difficult to capture with injection-molded parts. □ The etched parts include handrails, fall prevention railings, boat davits, Type 13 radar, ladders, and masts. Wooden Deck Decals □ The wooden deck decals are laser-cut, allowing for a realistic reproduction of the wooden deck pattern?a detail that is difficult to achieve with paint alone. □ Etched parts are included to reproduce details on the flight deck. □ The etched parts include elevators, ski-jump arresting gear, landing gear arresting gear, searchlight storage covers, and Type 21 radar storage covers. Please note that colors may appear different from the actual product due to monitor settings or image resolution. (From the Fujimi Models website)
