Action Figures (Anime/Sci-Fi Characters) Lost dreams connect across time! The “Missing Link” series: virtual reissues of figures that might have existed back in the day. The 15th entry in the series features the Cybertronian medic, “Ratchet”! In 1984, Ratchet was released as part of the initial lineup overseas, but when the series was introduced in Japan in 1985, his general release was canceled. The original toy separated into two mechs from the vehicle; the robot form was a power loader type that differed significantly from the anime design, and the head was recreated using a sticker affixed to the seat visible through the front windshield. This time, the “Missing Link” series takes on the challenge of a hypothetical reissue: “What if, back then, the Ratchet toy had been created with the same heroic concept as the other Cybertrons and featured a style closer to the anime?” Ratchet transforms from a Nissan Cherry Vanette-style minivan equipped with emergency lights into a robot. While retaining the original design that used zinc alloy in parts, it transforms from a car mode that closely resembles the original toy?via a one-piece transformation?into a heroic robot mode, allowing for free posing in robot mode. It can also transform into a “Respect Mode,” a third mode inspired by the robot mode of the original toy. The “spanner”?a piece of equipment that appeared in the anime?and the “laser” (identical to the one on the original toy) are included as chrome-plated parts. The rockets attached to the rocket launcher on its back can be attached and detached, and both the spanner and rockets can be stored inside the backpack. Some of the patterns that were originally reproduced with stickers on the original toy have been recreated here using three-dimensional sculpting and painting. Foil stickers are also included, which you can apply as desired. A “human” (female) figure?the same model as the one included with the C-11 Delta Magnus (sold separately)?is also included, and she can be seated in the driver’s seat in any mode. A “secret emblem” is affixed to the robot’s body; warming it with your finger reveals the Corps emblem. The back of the robot is equipped with a joint hole for a separately sold stand, allowing you to display it in action poses.
