Action Figures (Anime/SF Characters) Lost dreams connect across time! The “Missing Link” series: virtual reissues of figures that might have existed back then. The 14th entry in the series features the Cybertron security guard, “Ironhide”! Ironhide was released as part of the initial lineup overseas in 1984, but his domestic release was postponed when the line was introduced in Japan in 1985. The original product separated into two mechs from the vehicle, with the robot form being a power loader type that differed significantly from the anime design, and the head was reproduced using a sticker affixed to the seat visible through the front windshield. This time, Missing Link has taken on the challenge of a hypothetical reissue: what if, back then, the Ironhide product had been created with the same heroic concept as the other Cybertrons and featured a style closer to the anime? Ironhide transforms from a red Nissan Cherry Vanette-style minivan into a robot. While retaining the original construction that used zinc alloy in parts, it transforms from a car mode that closely resembles the original product into a heroic robot mode via a one-piece transformation, allowing for free posing in robot mode. Additionally, it can transform into a “Respect Mode” as a third mode, inspired by the robot mode of the original product. It comes with plated parts for the “Drill”?a piece of equipment that appeared in the anime?and the “Laser,” just like the original toy. The rocket launcher mounted on its back allows for the attachment and removal of rockets, and both the drill and rockets can be stored inside the backpack. Some of the patterns that were originally reproduced with stickers on the original toy have been recreated here using sculpted details and paint. Foil stickers are also included for those who prefer to apply them. A “human” (female type) figure, identical to the one included with the C-11 Delta Magnus (sold separately), is also included and can be seated in the driver's seat in any mode. A “secret emblem” is also affixed to the robot's body; warming it with your finger reveals the Corps emblem. The back of the robot is equipped with a joint hole for a separately sold stand, allowing you to display it in action poses. The package illustration is an original drawing inspired by the era, and a collection card is also included. *The Car Mode (Cherry Vanette) is licensed by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
